The project scope includes the design and documentation of the proposed Marine Emergency/Fire Station Building, its adjacent site work and paving, in accordance with the Port of Houston Authority Bayport Design Manual and the City of Pasadena and Texas current Building Codes. The Marine Emergency/Fire Station Building contains approximately 4,600 gross square feet, inclusive of living quarters, two apparatus bays for emergency vehicles, office, support and storage areas for common and high value equipment, two apparatus bays, a dormitory, offices, captain and lieutenants? quarters, lounge/kitchen, utility spaces, equipment areas, drum storage areas, and support areas.

The project also includes surface paving, an access road, communications, and utilities. The Site and civil work was limited to the new construction site area and includes site grading and paving (normal, high impact, and special), underground utilities and storm drainage, all tied to the existing adjacent pavement and main utility systems, site lighting and related project components. Pavement design based upon previous Bayport paving design was modified by the Civil Engineer to meet actual conditions.
